Two pictures, making a panorama of the River Deben at Woodbridge...

Woodbridge, above, looking across the marsh (which is now a boat sales and storage yard) toward the shelter on the corner of the riverside path, and beyond to the low hills of Sutton Hoo. The Tide Mill is just out of site, on the far left. Below, looking down the River Deben towards the North Sea, which lies about 8 miles downstream.
There is quite a high tide, as evidenced by the clearly visible "Loder's Cut"
In both these pictures, it looks as though the concrete flood defence wall, which is there now, was not then built. Also, in the foreground are two railway lines which are, I believe, sidings. They are no longer there.
